Given the benefit of hindsight, Khloe Kardashian is probably wishing she had just completed the community service and alcohol-education classes. ADVERTISEMENT he 24-year-old Keeping up with the Kardashians co-star was sentenced to 30 days in a Los Angeles County jail for violating probation stemming from a March 2007 DUI arrest, E! News reported Monday. However due to current overcrowding of the L.A. County jails, Kardashian's actual sentence will most likely amount to only three days. "Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved," her rep, Jeff Raymond, said in a statement obtained by E! News. Kardashian was sentenced last August to 36 months probation, community service with the California Department of Transportation, and was also ordered to complete an alcohol-education program after she pleaded no contest to driving under the influence on March 4, 2007, L.A. City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan told E! News. But a Kardashian attorney admitted earlier this month in L.A. Superior Court that his client had not completed the alcohol-education program or the community service, E! News reported. While she was ordered to re-enroll in the education program the community service aspect of her sentence was no longer an option and she was instead ordered to spend 30 days in the slammer. In addition, Kardashian's offer to "surrender directly" to Lynwood County Jail was denied, E! News reported, adding she's instead scheduled to turn herself in July 18. She must also start attending the alcohol-education program within 21 days of her release. "Drinking and driving should be taken very seriously and unfortunately, Khloe had to learn the hard way," Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner said in a statement to E! News. "I hope Khloe will learn from her mistakes and I hope all of her brothers and sisters will learn from her actions and consequences. As always, we love and support our children." Khloe frequently appears on E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashians reality series, which mostly focuses on the exploits of her older sister Kim Kardashian. "I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others," Kim wrote Monday on her personal blog. "Please drink responsibly and it's never acceptable to drink and drive!"
